When I was younger we never really ate too much pizza. It was a special treat we ate maybe twice a month. But now…I could eat pizza 2-3 times a week, no problem. It needs it’s own food group. Pizza is one of those cuisines that people consider comfort food and is enjoyed all over the world. When I was asked to host a pizza party with some friends…trust me I thought it’d be hard to find a couple to join but they didn’t even think twice and were all so excited!
One thing is for sure; you can’t host a really good pizza party if you don’t have really good pizza, right? Well that’s where Panago steps in. Panago is a pizza company that began in Abbotsord, British Columbia and has now grown to over 180 locations across 6 provinces. Incredible. They’ve recently launched their fall menu, which features 6 flavours. Panago sent me each one of these pizza’s for my friends and I to taste at my pizza party and get in on the #PanagoChallenge.
You heard me right, there’s a challenge! Panago has organised a challenge Canada-wide, and could win you FREE pizza from Panago for an entire YEAR! How do you get in on it? It’s simple. When you order Panago pizza use the hashtag #PanagoChallenge on your social media channels and tell Panago which is your favourite pizza of the 6 featured fall pizzas.
Oh and the lovely table setting added to the pizza party feel. A special thank you to my mum who is such a rockstar decorator. I mentioned that I was having a pizza party with my friends and bam the table was being set to showcase the Panago pizza’s!
My friends and I were in a daze with so many pizzas to choose from. Each one looked so delicious. We tasted each pizza, 6 slices each, a bite here and bite there to determine our individual favourites.
Before I give you the results, these are the six fall feature pizza’s:
Tomato-based BBQ sauce topped with grilled chicken, bacon, caramelized onions, red peppers, mozzarella and cheddar
Passata Tomato Sauce topped with fire-roasted tomatoes, kalamata olives, red peppers, baby spinach leaves, red onions and mozzarella
Creamy chipotle cilantro sauce with grilled chicken, roasted cord medley, red onion, red and green peppers, mozzarella and cheddar
Cheezy Cheddar sauce, steak, bacon, sautéed mushrooms, mozzarella, cheddar
Barbeque sauce, bacon, extra Canadian ham, extra pineapple, mozzarella and cheddar
Creamy ranch sauce with jalapeno kick, grilled chicken, Canadian, ham, bacon, tomatoes and mozzarella.
Top left: Shelly’s favourite pizza was the #bbq chicken
Top Middle: Meira’s favourite pizza was the #steakmushroommelt
Top Right: Sarah’s Favourite pizza was #chipotlechicken
Bottom Left: Arti’s favourite pizza was #veggiemed
Bottom Middle: Natasha’s favourite pizza was #dlxtropicalhawaiian
Bottom Right: Elaynna’s favourite pizza was #steakmushroommelt
and my favourite pizza was…..#dlxtropicalhawaiian! I’m a sucker for a bit of sweet with my savoury. The extra pineapple was perfect. The #steakmushroommelt was a close second.
The winning pizza was the #steakmushroommelt! Creamy sauce, seasoned mushrooms, sliced steak and more cheese, delicious!
The girls even fought for the last slice of #steakmushroommelt and the littlest lady wasn’t too happy to see Meira win the tug!
